Windows to discontinue Internet Explorer!

Once dominant browser, Internet Explorer is set out to be discontinued by Microsoft, since Wednesday.

This was decided as a result of antitrust case, security flaws and lagging performance of the browser.

In the upcoming days, when users try to reach the browser the new version Microsoft Edge will open in the screen.

“Not only is Microsoft Edge a faster,…. but it is also able to address a key concern: compatibility for older, legacy websites and applications," the company declared.

Microsoft had originally released Internet Explorer in the Windows 95 operating system free of charge.

And the rest is history!

Internet Explorer had been always been the OG browser on Windows PCs for years, Mozilla's Firefox and Google's Chrome snagged users away.

Much of its success is credited to its availability in Windows PC, which is still the most used PC companies today!
