Duggar's legal team, however, requested a five-year sentence, saying that he will appeal the court’s decision.

The 34-year-old reality star and father of seven was arrested with evidence, but is not pleading guilty to the allegations.

Duggar, now is facing up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for the ordeal, and is now a registered sex offender.

Their show, ’19 kids and counting’ had also been cancelled in May 2015, after Duggar had been accused of molesting several young girls as a teenager.

Post-conviction, Duggar's parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, alongside their 19 children, who also starred on the series from 2008 to 2015, released a statement about the "grievous ordeal."

However, Josh’s brother in-law claims that the family is just putting up a front, saying “public was deceived.”
