‘Goodfellas’ actor Liotta dies at 67!

Actor Ray Liotta, well known for his role Henry Hill, in the movie "Goodfellas," died in his sleep at a hotel in the Dominican Republic, on 26 May 2022.

Actor Liotta was 67 years old and her was currently filming for a movie named Dangerous Waters.

The actor who played Henry Hill in the 1990 Martin Scorsese movie, shaped Hollywood’s idea of a gangster movie for future years to come.

The movie was based on the non-fiction book ‘Wise Guy’ authored by Nicholas Pileggi.

Liotta was born in 1954 in Newark, New Jersey. He initially grew up in a nearby Union, and was later adopted by the Liotta family. He majored in drama at the University of Miami, where he started acting briefly.

He had his breakout role in 1986’s movie Something Wild, directed by Jonathan Demme.

"I can be anywhere in the world & people will come up & tell me their favorite movie is Goodfellas. Then they always ask what was the best part of making that movie. My response has always been the same...Ray Liotta.", his Goodfellas co-star, Lorraine Bracco, expressed on Twitter.

Liotta has also starred in the superhit video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, as Tommy Vercetti. Tommy is a gangster who rises up the ranks in the game's hall of criminal empire.

Liotta also won an Emmy in 2005, for his role of Charlie Metcalf, in the series ER, an alcoholic ex-convict who tries to get in contact with his son.
