Jeff Gladney, a cornerback for the Arizona Cardinals, has died on May 31, 2022, Monday morning in a car crash in Dallas.

He was 25 years old and was selected as a first-round NFL draft pick for the Minnesota Vikings in 2020.

The SUV crash is said to have happened at about 2:30 a.m. A female passenger in the same car has also been reported dead in the accident.

The crash occurred on the service road of Woodall Rodgers Freeway in Dallas.

However, the cause of the crash is still being investigated.

Gladney had signed with the Cardinals in March and was "expected to play a significant role on defense this season," according to the team.

Gladney was from New Boston, Texas, and went to TCU as one of the best high school cornerbacks in the state, according to the University.
